You can sell both online and offline services on the internet. If you start thinking about offline services, think about the things that you use every day eg cleaning services, accountants, pest control, cable TV etc.
All of these businesses and many, many others can use the internet for sales and promotion of their services and to build their customer databases.
Lead generation is another strategy that you can use to earn money for offline businesses. The way it works is that you set up a website advertising a certain service that people may want, like financial advice. Once people who are interested visit your website and fill in a form you can sell this lead to a financial services company. There are many businesses out there in this new economy that are willing to pay for leads and often times a lead generated from the internet (if you know what you are doing) can be far cheaper to generate than any of the standard offlin lead generation methods.

As you can see by the previous discussion, many offline businesses can use the internet to increase their business and profitability but most of these businesses basically have no idea about internet marketing.
