02How To Get Ten Times The Traffic That You Get Right Now
Filed in: Business by admin on 11-02-09Alright, since I want to keep this article short and help you dramatically increase your traffic and leads, I’m going to get right into some hard core traffic building techniques that you can use for any website. I’m going to just give you my personal four step traffic creation strategy, and you need to do it consistently to get dramatic results. I recommend doing this once per day, but if you’re just too dang busy, you can shorten the process to once per week (although you’ll get 1/7th of the results). Ok, so here goes:
1. The first step is to create a piece of educational content. It doesn’t have to be the best content in the world, it just needs to be useful and educational in nature. It’s funny, but about a fifth of everything you create will give you more than 80% of your traffic. There are some ’super gurus’ out there that try and develop training to teach you how to only tackle the ‘heavy hitter’ articles, but you’re better off just creating tons of content and dealing with the ratios. Every kind of content online is the same, videos included. Simply research and provide valuable education on your specific niche, and put it up on a website. You might put it on an article network, your personal blog, or a video sharing network.
2. Step two is to make a video announcing your article, and broadcast your video to the video sharing sites. Videos are cool because they get indexed by the search engines in like ten minutes, and you can get traffic blazing fast by simply making an announcement. Confused? All you need to do is sit in front of a webcam and talk for a minute or so about your cool new article. I use a service called ‘Traffic Geyser’ to broadcast my videos, because it’s simple to use and it’s the best thing around for video promotion. When you send your videos out to the sites, point the links back to your original piece of content. You can also use a service called ‘TubeMogul’ which is free, but far less effective than Traffic Geyser.
3. Write a brief article talking about your content, or a variation of the same article and broadcast it to the article directories. Articles are cool because they stay around for like 100 years and they get you long term, consistent traffic. Articles also have a cool side effect of making you appear as the expert in your specific niche. You’ve just got to keep using them. I use another cool piece of software for this.
4. Go through all three steps every single day. Look, this system will work well for you if you follow it consistently over time. The cool thing is that this four step process works even if your content isn’t the best around.Honestly, even if your articles stink and your videos are second class, it will still work. (Of course, it will work much better if they’re killer). You need to work the strategy consistently to see long term results, and I encourage you to do it over the next 100 days.
Why 100 days? I’ve got a simple answer for you. If you follow the simple advice in this article, you’ll be getting so much traffic and leads that you’ll flip out with enthusiasm. (It works that well). If you stick with the strategy, you’ll get results, and I’ll see you at the top of the search engines.
